What's in the price

The Robusta power cabinet, battery modules, solar panels, and installation by an SAA-accredited electrician.

What isn't

A back-up generator, a grid-connection fee, and site-specific work: trenching, mounting structures, long cable runs, or travel and accommodation if you're remote. An Off-Grid Assessment finds these before you're committed to a number, not after.

Why The Robusta

Based on what you told us, the Robusta is the right size for your place.

It's the system for a full-sized home that isn't holding back. A 10 or 12 kW inverter delivers up to 52 amps continuously, and six battery slots take it to 30.72 kWh. Mark and Jude in Pomona. QLD run ducted air-conditioning and a 70,000-litre pool on theirs.

At 12 kW the Robusta can be configured single or three phase, so if you've got three-phase gear in a shed, tell us. If the load keeps climbing from there, or you're running several dwellings on one property, the conversation moves to a Forza LV.

Why sizing up later costs more

The STC battery rebate is claimed once, at installation. Battery modules added later don't attract it, so the same module costs you more, and it means a second visit from an electrician. That's why we'd rather size your system properly the first time. Sometimes that means telling you that you need less battery than you think, because a well-sized array and generator are doing their share.

Solar

The Robusta includes 10 kW of solar in the entry configuration and 18 kW in the maximum. We generally recommend the top of that range, because more array carries the system through overcast weeks and the generator runs less. That's roughly 36 x 500 W panels at 18 kW, so roof space is usually what decides it. The Off-Grid Assessment confirms what fits.

Back-up Power

A back-up source keeps the power on through long wet stretches. For true off-grid homes that's a petrol or diesel generator, and the Robusta pairs with a 10 to 13.5 kVA unit. The ones we supply start automatically, so nobody's walking out at midnight to start it by hand. They can be hardwired or fitted with a plug so you can move them. If you have grid access, the grid can be your back-up instead.
