The OFFGRID NOW® Robusta power system can provide standalone power to medium-sized homes from *$26,193.58.

Installations are completed by experienced and competent SAA-accredited electricians. Installation costs will vary dependent on the distance of travel required, the need for accommodation or additional works that may need to be completed to ensure the system is compliant. An Off-Grid Assessment is used to understand the scope of the installation and determine the correct system size and installation pricing. The Off-Grid Assessment is completed by our Customer Care Team.

Installation

The minimum solar requirement for the OFFGRID NOW® Robusta is 12kW of solar panels, which is generally 24 x 500W panels installed on the roof. As a rule, OFFGRID NOW® recommends pairing this system with 18kW (36 x 500W panels) of solar for maximum solar generation to carry the off grid system through overcast or stormy conditions, minimising the need for back-up power from a generator or the grid. There are multiple factors that can effect the number of solar panels that can be installed, such as roof type and the space available, and an Off-Grid Assessment is required to correctly determine the appropriate solar requirements for your system.

Solar Panels

The OFFGRID NOW® Robusta power system is designed to supply stand alone power, however a back-up power source is recommended to ensure uninterrupted power supply. For true off-grid applications, a petrol or diesel generator can be installed as a back-up power source. Generators supplied by OFFGRID NOW® have auto-start function and can hardwire installed or a plug can be fitted for generator mobility. Systems with access to the grid can connect to the grid as a back-up power source.
