The amount of solar power you need depends on your energy consumption and the appliances you use. Whilst tiny homes can operate on very small systems due to their compact size and lower energy demands, OFFGRID NOW® recommends systems starting at 5kw. We can help you assess your daily energy usage to size your solar system properly.

Yes, you can live entirely off-grid with a well-designed solar system that includes adequate battery storage. To ensure continuous power, especially at night or during cloudy days, you will need to invest in a system with sufficient solar panels and batteries to meet your energy needs.

Lithium-ion batteries are the best choice for tiny home solar systems due to their efficiency, longer lifespan, and compact size. They require less maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries and are ideal for limited space in tiny homes.

While not mandatory, having a backup generator is advisable for extended cloudy periods or during system maintenance. A small, portable generator can ensure you have power when solar energy is not sufficient or when your batteries are depleted. OFFGRID NOW® power systems can be supplied with a backup generator.
