What isn't

A back-up generator, a grid-connection fee, and site-specific work: trenching, mounting structures, long cable runs, or travel and accommodation if you're remote. An Off-Grid Assessment finds these before you're committed to a number, not after.

Why The Forza LV

Based on what you told us, the Forza LV is the right size for your place.

This is the system for a property, not a house. A 16 to 24 kW inverter delivers up to 104 amps continuously, and twelve battery slots take it to 61.44 kWh. That's enough to carry more than one dwelling, a workshop full of power tools, and air-conditioning running all day rather than sparingly.

Peter's property at Federal runs a farm workshop and two 3-bedroom homes for four adults on one Forza LV. He built the shed specifically as the property's power station, with the array on its roof and a trench back to the main house and switchboard a hundred metres away. On the grid, running the air-conditioners the way they wanted would have taken his bill from around $3,500 to about $7,000 a year. Now they run them through the day.

Why sizing up later costs more

The STC battery rebate is claimed once, at installation. Battery modules added later don't attract it, so the same module costs you more, and it means a second visit from an electrician. That's why we'd rather size your system properly the first time. Sometimes that means telling you that you need less battery than you think, because a well-sized array and generator are doing their share.

Solar

The Forza includes 16 kW in the entry configuration, and up to 48 kW at the top of the range. At 48 kW that's over 80 panels, so roof area is usually the limit rather than the cabinet. A shed roof is often the answer: Peter built his with the array in mind, cleared the trees around it, and kept the panels off the house for both wind rating and appearance. The Off-Grid Assessment works out the best configuration.

Back-up Power

A back-up source keeps the power on through long wet stretches. For true off-grid properties that's a diesel generator, and the Forza pairs with a 15+ kVA auto-start unit, single or three-phase depending on the configuration. If you already have grid access, the grid can be the back-up instead, and the system can be programmed to top the batteries up from it below a set state of charge rather than running a generator.
