Whilst tiny homes can operate on very small systems due to their compact size and lower energy demands, OFFGRID NOW® recommends systems starting at 5kw. We can help you assess your daily energy usage to size your solar system properly.

Yes, you can live entirely off-grid with a well-designed solar system that includes adequate battery storage. To ensure continuous power, especially at night or during cloudy days, you will need to invest in a system with sufficient solar panels and batteries to meet your energy needs.

Lithium-ion batteries are the best choice for tiny home solar systems due to their efficiency, longer lifespan, and compact size. They require less maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries and are ideal for limited space in tiny homes.

While not mandatory, having a backup generator is advisable for extended cloudy periods or during system maintenance. A small, portable generator can ensure you have power when solar energy is not sufficient or when your batteries are depleted. OFFGRID NOW® power systems can be supplied with a backup generator.
